Check out this crazy video of steampunk musician Yoshi Akai creating basic audio with this craftily invented Steampunk Sequencer MR II, which essentially uses 3D LEGO blocks to recreate a three-channel, eight-step sequencer. Each colored plastic brick produces a singular sound, and more complex audio layering can be achieved through stacking these musical LEGOS. Akai, who wrote his master’s thesis on turning color into sound, has literally found a way to build sound with LEGO blocks – amazing!
