James Coleman’s Kodak Brownie for the 2012 Olympics

Kodak Brownie for the 2012 Olympics 01 James Colemans Kodak Brownie for the 2012 Olympics

What if Kodak decided to create a special limited edition Brownie for the 2010 Olympics? That’s the premise behind this concept design by James Coleman, a designer from the United Kingdom. Modelled on the 1962 Brownie Flash 3 (but 33% smaller this time!), this new Brownie concept is rendered in bright, fun playful colors. Like the classic Brownie, the new Brownie has its viewfinder located on the top of the camera, which gives the concept a certain retro-appeal to it!

edit: We’ve been kindly informed that we mucked this up, and presented this as a finished product, as opposed to a concept. Thanks to James Coleman for kindly pointing out our error! A concept design rendered in Cinema 4D, you can find James’s original design over here, along with plenty of his other clever designs!

  1. I’m afraid you’ve got the wrong end of the stick, this was a design study and is only a concept. There are no plans for a production model.
