VISEone 03 D.I.Y. ViseOne

This week, we talk to ViseOne, the imaginative minds behind fun toys like Sea Hunter and Sad Dragon. ViseOne hails from Germany and is a COLLECT3D favourite; we’re quite excited to present to you ViseOne’s D.I.Y.

VISEone comes from Trier in Germany which is best known for being the oldest city in germany – an old roman city.

Back in the day, you thought of toys as you could never own enough of them; today you see them as still keeping my inner child alive.

As a kid my favorite toy was BIG JIM.

My first ‘real’ job was working as a visual merchandiser.

Your favorite designer toy (by another artist) is probably KILLA INSTINCT by MARKA27 – but actually I don’t really have a top favorite – I love many other toys & artists such as BUNKA, 123KLAN, UNKL, OKKLE, JON-PAUL-KAISER, MEKAZOO, SKET and many more…

I choose to work with toys because it keeps my inner child alive and is there anything more fun than to work or play around with?

The best blank platform to work on is almost any DIY platform.

The most exciting moment in your career so far has been to participate at Disney’s & Mindstyle’s “Stitch Experiment 626 Custom Art Tour” since it is one of my all time favorite animated movies. And of course to be able to release the SEA HUNTER DRAGON in ’08 and last year the SAD DRAGON.

VISEone is the most friendly designer/artist in the world.

I dislike it when I realize I can’t count on other people’s word.

I love it when I can make people happy or at least put a smile on their face.

The thing that inspires me most is everything in my past – my childhood, my friends, my travels, my family, my girlfriend, my dreams…

If I wasn’t doing what I’m doing, I’d probably be not on this earth.

One thing most people don’t believe about me is that I’m also a Hip-Hop DJ who’s still spinning at clubs these days and that I got a major record deal with my group around 1999-2000.

When my fans read this questionnaire they will hopefully find it interesting to know more about me.

All good ideas start with a blank sheet of paper.

My ultimate professional assignment would be to work fulltime in what I love to do.

My day is not complete until I checked my e-mails, Facebook, Toy Blogs such as COLLECT3D, feed our two cats, and laughed at least once about something funny I saw or read.

Filling out this DIY feature survey was very interesting.
