Cris Rose comes from London, UK which is best known for Tea and Bowler hats.

Back in the day, you thought of toys as something to take apart. Today you see them as something to take apart.

As a kid my favorite toy was LEGO!

My first ‘real’ job was as a Web Developer.

Your favorite designer toy (by another artist) is Mr. Bunny by Joe Ledbetter, which I am lucky enough to own.

I choose to work with designer toys because they have limitless creative potential, allow me to define my own direction and meet a lot of awesome people in the process.

The best blank platform to work on is the Mad*l for sure.

The most exciting moment in your career thus far has been being a bit star struck at a solo show opening, only to find the artist in question knew who I was and said they loved my work…

Cris Rose is the most jack-of-all-trade designer/artist in the world.

I dislike it when people buy something they never intended to keep and enjoy, but do so just to flip it and make more profit than the artist made themselves. It exploits their hard work at the most basic level.

I love it when people surprise me with their care and consideration.

The thing that inspires me most is my late Grandfather and his lifelong effort to repair anything placed in front of him.

The Internet has been most influential media on my art.

The most underrated designer / artist today is Dok A! The man will take over the world, you watch…

If I wasn’t making toys, I’d probably be making furniture in a cabin in the woods.

One thing most people don’t believe about me is… that I have won three Olympic medals.

When my fans read this questionnaire they will hopefully realize… I have as much chance of being the first woman on Mars as I have of winning any given sporting event.

All good ideas start with a good night’s sleep.

My ultimate professional assignment would be to design a full scale working robot’s look and personality.

My day is not complete until all the little bots have been tucked in.

Filling out this DIY feature survey was very pleasant indeed.
