For this edition of Character Sketch, we’re delving into the world of Pino Lamanna. Pino is an illustrator from Germany, who takes more than a few cues from Japanese pop art. His Euro-Japanese style is reminiscent of Tokidoki’s Simone Legno. Each piece is simple, clean and bright, but with a sort of infantilized dark side similar to Mori Chack’s Gloomy Bear or Frank Kozik’s Smorkin’ pieces.
